The "CHURCH", The "FAMILY", or The "BODY" OF CHRIST

SATAN HAS BEEN EXTREMELY SUCCESSFUL IN HIS WAR AGAINST THE KINGDOM BY USING THE DIVINE TRUTH OF MATTHEW 12:25

 Matthew 12:25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand

The most frequent excuse given for not going to Church is that they are a bunch of hypocrites. Leaders and members say they are members of the Family of God, or the Body of Christ, and profess love one for another. Yet, all the while talking against one another, accusing the others of teaching false doctrine and causing division.  Publicly they acknowledge other denominations, yet refuse to come together as a single unified body.  Is this what it will be like in Heaven??? 

The word "Church", Ekklesia, Strong's #1577, "called out" ones, religious congregation.  It does not appear in the Old Testament and 80 times in the New Testament

The word "Family", Patria, Strong's 3965, a group of families, a whole race. It is used only once in the New Testament Ephesians 3:15

The word "Body", Soma, Strong's 4983, as a sound whole. It is used 136 times in the New Testament.

When you consider the phrases to describe born again believers - "The Church", "The Church Family", and "The Body of Christ", which can be divided yet still appear to be functional? 

The Denominational "Church" & their "families" while appearing to be alive are for the most part Christian zombies wrapped in doctrinal & legalistic theological grave clothes.  They even reproduce, but their offspring's always carry the genetic "doctorial & theological abnormality" that was present in the parent. God's divine design is that the true body will always be a representation of JESUS.

If a human body was infected with the the same kind of genetic abnormality it would be diagnosed as - a cancer, AIDS or other autoimmune disorder.  All are FATAL, unless there is a divine intervention of the Lord.. 

Ephesians 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

1st Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. (My highlight - Jesus was and is the Word of God)

Discerning the Body of Christ

In every family there will be a time when the children attempt to mimic their parents.  They will wear adult clothing and even attempt to be adults themselves.  In their eyes they are successful, but adults are only amused by their "childish" attempts to be like them.  If the child asks for the car keys or the check book they DO NOT get them - WHY?  Because they are not mature enough to be trusted with those responsibility, and until they are they continue to receive children's toys and limited responsibility.

Today, world wide, the children of the Father are all trying to act like the parent, but they squabble among one another about who should be in charge, who is the more mature, and who the parents like the best.  They demand their way, professing to be the true "sons of God", when in truth they are only rebellious children. Very often they refuse teaching or correction given to help them become mature.

The mature member of the body of Christ DOES NOT recognize denominational doctorial or theological "hair splitting" differences.

The Emasculated    Church?
We have allowed our technical and intellectual advances to bring us to the place that we no longer feel we have a need for God?  The Church along with the rest of the world have made science and medicine their god? 

Jesus addressed this when he addressed the leaders of the "church" in his day.

Matthew 15:7-9      Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying, "This people draws near to Me with their mouth, and honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.  But in vain they worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men."
